Shitty Poetry

Postby ThePumaman on Mon Feb 06, 2006 6:32 pm

What? We have a creative writing section of the forum? Oh yeah!

In an ongoing effort to fill the forum with top notch, entertaining and informative content I humbly submit my Shitty Poetry to fall upon judgemental eyes and encourage everyone else to do the same. We're all poets and we just don't know its, so pull out your rhyming dictionary, dust off your abstract mind and put some letters together to form words!

So without further ado, some Shitty Poetry.

-

Who knows what tomorrrow brings
A smile, a date, some onion rings
Shrouded in mystery
An unforseeable history
Who knows what tomorrow brings

The future, soon, things that will be
Time unlocked by nature's key
Never stopping
Moments dropping
The future, soon, things that will be

Life holds no rhyme, no reason, no plan
To just hold on, the goal of every man
Searching for answer
Distractions a cancer
Life holds no rhyme, no reason, no plan

Blindly we march into time's unknown
Continuously moving, no path shown
Toppling empires
Constructing spires
Blindly we march into time's unknown

Okay, the first one was so bad that it scared everyone off! Oh noes! Lets see if this doozy will draw in the crowds:

My mind searches for things to say
Twisting around memories
And dispositions in the way

Thoughts, feelings, emotions, lust
Rationality an obscurity
Betrayed by what we trust

Second guessing and careful thought
Neurotic tendencies abound
With what currency is peace bought?

And because I love you all, here's a bonus!

Silently the porch light remains dim,
Once a noble beacon,
Proud like a deacon,
She waits in the darkness for him.

Slowly and meticulously the wall clock counts time,
Shouting out seconds,
Hour hand beckons.
Tequila filled glass glistens, accompanying a lonely lime.

Moonlight reflects off her gentle tears.
Thoughts of infidelity
Enter her mentality.
To her chest she brandishes rusty shears.

Life and death on the scale:
This to live for,
That to die for.
Contemplating, her skin turns pale.

Filled with laughter in self pity,
Release the blades,
Her pain fades;
Her grief lost into the city.

Amber liquid hits the floor.

The lime is lonely once more.

I'm just not a poetry guy.

However, I like those. I can actually get some meaning out of them.

I know I'm reviving a totally old post but I had to because... It is my duty as Sean's girlfriend to bring these things back to light and possibly embarrass him.

Seriously though, um, I like the second one a whole lot. :D
