I'm happy you guys chose BF2 allready, I own that game and CS, not CoD2 (think I have the rip tho).

I understand what you are saying about CS and people that play regularly. I have been a regular for a few parts of my life but am currently not playing it at all because I haven't gotten my actuial graphical drivers to work. Every time I install them the resolution and color pallate go to minimum with no option to go higher after the restart. This is the case for every driver pack I try, only when I have the totally default drivers running is the screen nice.

So, in CS that means that I'm not getting any better than 60 FPS when I want 80 or above under moderate load (so it goes to around 60 under heavy load, which is still moving good). This is not okay for me.

If anyone has heard of these problems, please let me know what might work.

Time to install BF2 and see how that plays with default drivers.

Greetings fellow cosmonauts. Unfortunately, I have some bad news.

Due to a lapse in memory, I completely forgot I had prior plans for this weekend and sadly, those other plans take priority. As such, I won't be able to attend the LAN this weekend.

I'm as disappointed as you are. But you all must live on in my stead, and have twice as much fun for me, the gipper.

Good luck and God speed.

Well, that sucks that I won't get to see Sean.

I'm still comming tho.

Still, if anyone knows of any similar situations with video driver issues, please lemme know.
BF2 runs, but not well. I will be able to play regardless, but there is no chance that I can pilot a jet or even be a gunner for a helo. =(
The frame rate is fairly terrible. I can still be a great anti-tank, special forces or medic.

I hope we can arrange for some LAN to happen, say, in the first three weekends of August.

I can't do any other time. :(

The World In Conflict beta is VERY fun. I took the liberty of snagging 7 beta keys so that we can all play it this weekend.

We could dominate!

Hey guys, Brian here, just wanted to let you know that I managed to get the weekend off from work, so you can count on me coming if that's all well and good.

With the drop in attendance, I don't know if you still intend to do cross-LAN BF2 against the Fragster crew, but if so let me know and I'll consider picking up a copy. With my starving college student poorness and being that I don't see myself playing the game outside of Saturday, I'm not terribly enthusiastic about purchasing it, but hooking up with the Fragster LAN via teh intarweb does sound like a good time.

Regardless, I'll be up for whatever you guys want to do - let me know if you'd like me to bring any tables or chairs, and what manner of foodstuffs or tasty beverages I can contribute.

Sweet! It'll be awesome to have you.

I'm thinking that we will pass on the cross-LAN fun with Fragster. The main problem being that not everyone owns the game, and I don't want people to go buy it just for this weekend.

Now, if they want to go install World In Conflict and do a clan match...

Can we get away with buying 1 copy?

Hey, FYI we are looking at 9:30 (+/-) for the BF2 match. Will that work with you guys?

And we have a Fragster LAN Cam :D

It's currently in open beta - I snagged 7 keys for my guys (you just need unique email addresses) - I could grab a bunch more for your guys if you want.

You can get keys at http://www.worldinconflict.com/beta/

Hmm, the more I think about it, the more I do want to do the BF2 thing. However, we would definitely need a cracked server because we don't all own it and not everyone is willing to play it.

The time would work fine though, if we do it.

I've been playing it the last few nights and am having lots of fun again.

I don't care how we do it, but it must happen!
