March March LAN LAN - PART TWO

Postby Pebby on Tue Mar 13, 2007 8:17 pm

Let's do it again.

How about Saturday the 24th or Saturday the 31st? Or the subsequent Sundays after each of those days works for me.

I agree! Both would work for me, and I could get there by noon. I wouldn't be able to stay ultra mega late on the 24th, but on the 31st I could partay all night long.

I could also do either Sunday.

Sundays are fine if people leave early enough. We were just having too much fun at this one. ;)

I'm busy the night of the 24th, but I could do the following Sunday, or the 31st works fine for me.

Yeah, but it'd be nice not to risk that again. T_T I like being able to stay until really late and not have to worry about "Eh, I have work tomorrow..."

How about we do the 31st, since it sounds like everyone can make it with no strings attached?

MAYBE. That is SO far ahead to think about planning such a thing for me. I guess. D:

Perfect, that means you haven't planned anything else then!

31st sounds good to me!

Or, you know, tomorrow or something.

I might not be able to do the end of the month anymore... We'll see.

(and the point was "such a thing," as in I don't prepare for LANs that far ahead... on the other hand, I know what I'm doing a weekend in April, May, and July already..)

I'm posting here as a little reminder that the LAN is this Saturday!

Hopefully you can make it Michi, but if not I will beat Sean in one game of your choosing in your honor.

I have two new games we can try out this LAN: Supreme Commander and Command and Conquer 3. I don't think SC is very good but we tend to try out all the RTSs anyway because they're fun to at least try once. C&C3 on the other hand is no Company of Heroes, but I think it's not too shabby.

I might be going up to Sacramento to visit friends this weekend, but plans aren't finalized yet. D:

I had a lot of fun playing Warcraft III and Age of Mythology last time, so I'll be sad if i can't go. :(

Thanks for coming everyone; I had a great time!

I liked C&C3 a lot; it made for good quick games such that we could play human vs. human without the "I played for 90 minutes just to lose" problem that some other RTSs have.

I agree, it still sucked losing but I was still having a lot of fun regardless. I can see once we all get good and get some strategies down there'll be some epic battles ahead.

It seemed like those games were ending hella fast... Maybe I'll play next time!

What do you mean 'get some strategies down'.

I have mine figured out completely: pretend I'm playing Sim City.
