OlStats not Parsing

Postby Hawes on Tue Apr 26, 2005 9:11 pm

some info:
I have a dedicated server running on my Linux box.
I have Utstatsdb and olstats installed.
the ut2004 install is in /usr/local/games/ut2004/
then the utstatsdb on the web server is located /data1/Website/utstatsdb/

everything works except the olstats doen not transfer or parse the logs. I have even chmod 777 the entire utstatdb directory.

my olstats.ini
Code: Select all
[OLStats.MutOLGameStats]
bExportRawLog=True
bExportHTMLLogs=False
bLogBots=False
bLogChat=True
bLogPickups=True
bLogVehicleDeaths=True
bLogSecurityInfo=True
bLogPings=True
bLogAccuracy=True
bAdvancedVoteLogging=False
bMasterServerStats=True
bRunUTStatsDBParser=True
ParserURL=http://*******.dynalias.net:8001/utstatsdb/logs.php
ParserPass=********
bUploadLogs=True
UploadURL=http://*******:8001/utstatsdb/OLSendLog.php
UploadPass=******* <dunno what this is suppose to be>
MinPlayers=2
MinHumans=0
KeepBotRecords=False

my sql root pass and my utstats database pass are the same... so, whenever it asked for a pass, I put that in.. :?

I am not running any ftp service. I simply would like the logs to be trasfered from:
Code: Select all
/usr/local/games/ut2004/UserLogs/

to
Code: Select all
/data1/Website/utstatsdb/.Logs/
and parsed.... :D

I have found a work-around that WORKS for now: shell script:
Code: Select all
#!/bin/sh

chmod -R 755 /usr/local/games/ut2004
chmod -R 755 /usr/local/games/ut2004/
chmod -R 777 /usr/local/games/ut2004/UserLogs
chmod -R 777 /usr/local/games/ut2004/UserLogs/
chmod -R 777 /data1/Website/utstatsdb
chmod -R 777 /data1/Website/utstatsdb/
rm /data1/Website/utstatsdb/.Logs/*.log
cp /usr/local/games/ut2004/UserLogs/*.log /data1/Website/utstatsdb/.Logs
php /data1/Website/utstatsdb/logs.php pass=*******
rm /usr/local/games/ut2004/UserLogs/*.log

and set up a cron job to run it every 5 minutes... but I would really like to get OlStats to parse automatically.......... :)

Any help would be welcome...

Thanks,

Oh... also:

the console returns this:
Code: Select all
Resolved *******.dynalias.net (192.168.1.3)
----------------------------------------
OLStats Remote Parser Operation Complete
  ERROR: Server responded: 0

and in my OlStats.ini I have tried
Code: Select all
bRunUTStatsDBParser=True
ParserURL=http://192.168.1.3/utstatsdb/logs.php
ParserPass=********
bUploadLogs=True
UploadURL=http://192.168.1.3/utstatsdb/OLSendLog.php

and
Code: Select all
bRunUTStatsDBParser=True
ParserURL=http://192.168.1.3:8001/utstatsdb/logs.php
ParserPass=********
bUploadLogs=True
UploadURL=http://192.168.1.3:8001/utstatsdb/OLSendLog.php

and
Code: Select all
bRunUTStatsDBParser=True
ParserURL=http://localhost/utstatsdb/logs.php
ParserPass=********
bUploadLogs=True
UploadURL=http://localhost/utstatsdb/OLSendLog.php

and
Code: Select all
bRunUTStatsDBParser=True
ParserURL=http://www.domain.com/utstatsdb/logs.php
ParserPass=********
bUploadLogs=True
UploadURL=http://www.domain.com/utstatsdb/OLSendLog.php

ALL with no joy...

The problem might be that your webserver is running on port 8001 - I am not sure if the socket library I am using supports putting ports in the URL. However, this is just a guess, and I'm not sure.

To confirm: You did put the OLSendLog.php file in to your UTStatsDB directory? It does not come with UTStatsDB - you have to put it there yourself.

Yes it is there...

I have to run it on this port as my ISP will not be happy :)

I will continue with the work-around

Any chance on next versions to parse from local dir to local dir?

would it work if I had this:?

ParserURL=/data1/Website/utstatsdb/logs.php
and
UploadURL=/data1/Website/utstatsdb/OLSendLog.php

hmmm...???
